sadly our friends (jeannie & graham) have lost their bar i palma nova (the bar olas).
they had a bad year in 2009 but turned things around since then and had a great 2010,but alas their landlord as booted them out.
this also happened to a couple we know who had a bar in greece,what is it with these landlords where they would rather see a bar/shop shut rather than reduce the rent!!!!
i'm hoping that they will join this great forum as they would have some great input.
they are now looking for a new place so fingers crossed for them,good luck guys

no seriously debs that's a hard one to explain,but here goes ok.
we all know the sol cala blanca yeah,well more or less opposite there is the yellow apts (the los palomas),well at the rear of this block on the ground floor is the bar.it's in a very quite pedestrianised street,may be the reason business was slow as not everyone would know it was there.
another way to find it would be to come out of the back way of the sol mirlos,head towards those pillar type thingy's and bear left.
sorry it's so vague,if i can find a map or some photo's i will put them on ok,or better still moocher will be along to explain better than me

Such a shame some bars are having to close, seems very unfair.

i'm gutted for them debs,a really nice couple.they told me they are looking for another place out there,i wish them luck.the bar got really popular with the bingo and quizes,i'm hoping they will join this forum,

Ive always liked the looks of the black and white bar, we went there years ago but it has stood empty for at least 2 years now.

not many people would have walked past the olas bar i think,due to it's back street setting.we only found it by chance as we often like to wander the back streets exploring.
sometimes it's nice to get lost on purpose and finding yourself in unknown territory.or am i just weird.............................(now,now girls)
