| Hi everybody can anyone tell me what is the weather like in majorca at the moment ? going to sa coma on monday and the weather sites i have looked at differ from thunderstorms and 21 degrees to sunny and 26 degrees ?????? anyone there with the inside info ? also has anyone been to the sa coma playa appartments ? going all inclusive as i have 4 kids and i am on a budget, not my ideal choice but i needed to know i had all the basics covered before leaving , i dont intend to eat and drink in the hotel every day and night but spends are not what they were before the dammed recession. some reviews i have read suggest the hotel is" little berlin", not a problem for me as i can be as ignorant as i need be ( or as nice) but the kids like to make friends that can speak the same language and join in the games etc. any help welcome cheers |

| The weather has been very bad this week (thunderstorms, heavy rain,no respite)but improving when you are due to arrive. However it is predicted to be unseasonally showery with some sun so you will be better off than the people who were there this week poor souls.Sa Coma is cosmopolitan but mainly German.Don't mention the war and you will be OK (Basil Fawlty-style).Fortunately for your kids German children are taught English from an early age so they will get by at the Apartments.Happy holiday. |

| John, just had a text off of Moocher & Debs, who are out there at the moment. Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but they have had a lot of rain out there, with it likely to be picking up weather wise on Tuesday they said. I hope that this helps you mate? _________________ Mick

| Hi Irishjohn
We too are flying out tihs week - palma nova and we go wed so I'm hoping we both get some luck and the rain goes away for us!!
We're also going all inclusive but again just so we can cover all the bases - mainly for the kids so they can get food and drink without it denting our budget too much!!
Hope you have a fab holiday.

| Like your style irishjohn. You live in Ireland. You must be accustomed to rain. Our only holiday to Ireland, Kinsale Co Cork, it rained every day and that was in September.Won't be going back. Not because of the weather-that's a chance you take but I prefer foreign. |

| Another good way to check out the weather is look at the webcams. Dont know if you already know this but we have a main website www.majorcaforum.com which has a link to this forum, if you look at the main site we have various sections one of them being a webcam section for all over the world, a few seem to have gone down over the last year and Ill have to check this out but the hotel Cala Bona has a great cam and its refreshed every couple of seconds so you can see how the weather is looking live as it happens, here is the link to that cam http://www.calabonahotel.com/prova.htm Check out our main site and take a look at the cams from around the world there is some interesting ones. www.majorcaforum.com _________________ Anyone need a taxi hehehe |

| wirralscouse your problem with the holiday in ireland was that you were a scouser in cork !! how did you understand each other ? lol. i live on this island and i have no idea what people from cork are saying. ha ha . its true though we do get a lot of rain and are used to it and when the sun shines we collectively all get sunburn "sure its not that hot here that i will burn" and suffer through the next few days untill our skin blisters, peels and goes back to white again all ready for the next day of sun. Holidaying in ireland is too expensive as well and for what you pay for a week here will get you 2 weeks in the sun, saying that it is a beautiful place and fantastic times can be had in the right places( the hills of donegal explored while sipping on a bottle of poitin is one you will never remember!) : Daryn i had a look ot the webcams and today at least the sun is shining so cheers for that mate. so its all stations go for tomorro morning done my checklist- suncream- factor 50 - check speedos - check sandals - check socks - check good to go !!!!!!!!!! |

| Well have a good holiday John, If you can get some pictures of where you staying, room etc It would be great. With the Cork accent problem, we have the same problem understanding our Daryn, most of us just learn to say yes to him. |
