| After visiting a few Bars, purely for the meet up venue of course, this Bar Cant'os, IMO, ticks most of the boxes for the October 2nd 2011 meet up. Very clean inside & out, nice seats, can be undercover just in case, god forbid it rains, nice clean toilets, both men's, checked by me, & ladies, checked by San, Bow on tap, nice Tapas for later if required, again me & San sampled it very nice & tasty, very close for Yozef to help WS back to his hotel, good Sangria & possibly, TBC, a deal on the drinks in October. A couple of minor negatives, not quite a sea view & adjacent to a minor road, not very busy I might add. But all in all it definetly ticks the boxes. I know Delboy & Mrs. Delboy have been there last October, & me & San went with Debs & Don, who are all suitably impressed with Canto's. Nothing is set in stone folks, but your feedback would really be appreciated on this matter. I have enclosed a link to the Bar below, for you all to have a look at. http://www.cantomallorca.com/index.html _________________ Mick

Just taken a look Mick and I recognise this bar but never been in it but I know exactly where it is. It looks lovely and modern and I would be happy to have the meet up in there. I know we said a sea view would be nice but if its cold and there is no shelter it could be a wash out lol. This does look nice and cosy and has a great seating area outside. Lets see what the others have to say before a decision is made. _________________ Anyone need a taxi hehehe

It's fine by me it has very comfortable seats outside, the staff were very nice the owner is English. As Mick says doesn't look over the bay although you are only 50 metres away, I blame the Son Matisa for blocking the view They had a list of cocktails including Mojitos which were all 2 for 5 euro's/ or a jug of Sangria for 5 euro's and he did Mrs DB and I, one of his specials at no extra change which had strawberries in as well.

Gets the vote from us too, I'm sure Mick has some other pics to put on - I know San took 2 of the ladies not that you can show much in a ladies but she did go out there for us bless her. . We didn't have our camera with us the night we all went there as we knew San was taking hers......(makes a change eh Mick ) As Mick says, we had a chat with Paul & he is sure they could help us out with nibbles etc. Did you find out if moocher knew the owners Mick?

A few Q's from me Mick. What lager is on tap, and how much? Did you go to the Orion Bar as per Yozef and my thread, to make a comparison? Have you any pics of your own? (I know you've got PC probs at the mo, not rushing you) Was there any noise washing over from El Mecca virtually opposite (I can't stand that Organ music)?

You know your way around that neck of the woods Mark.I feel the same about the Reginald Dixon type playing for the crumblies in El Mecca. But by the time we get Bob Marley and Bruce Springsteen on in Canto's courtesy of daryn's super mix we won't hear the sing song from opposite.Re H Son Matias Beach I certainly, and I suspect yozef would have preferred to stay there as I like it v much. But it is considerably more costly to stay there than at Sol Mirlos -unless you can get an offer which yozef has a knack of tracking down.
